Kapitel 24

1 Zu seiner Zeit3117 zog5927 herauf Nebukadnezar5019 der König4428 zu Babel894; und5650 Jojakim3079 ward ihm untertänig drei7969 Jahre8141. Und er wandte sich7725 und ward abtrünnig4775 von ihm.

2 Und der HErr3068 ließ7971 auf ihn3027 Kriegsknechte1416 kommen aus Chaldäa3778, aus Syrien758, aus Moab4124, aus den Kindern1121 Ammon5983 und ließ7971 sie6 in Juda3063 kommen, daß sie ihn umbrächten, nach dem Wort1697 des HErrn3068, das er geredet hatte1696 durch seine Knechte5650, die Propheten5030.

3 Es geschah aber Juda3063 also nach dem Wort6310 des HErrn3068, daß er sie5493 von6440 seinem Angesicht täte, um der Sünde2403 willen Manasses4519, die er getan hatte6213;

4 auch um des unschuldigen5355 Bluts1818 willen, das er vergoß8210, und4390 machte Jerusalem3389 voll mit unschuldigem5355 Blut1818, wollte14 der HErr3068 nicht vergeben5545.

5 Was mehr zu sagen ist3789 von Jojakim3079, und3499 alles, was er getan6213 hat, siehe, das1697 ist geschrieben in der Chronik5612 der Könige4428 Judas.

6 Und Jojakim3079 entschlief7901 mit seinen Vätern1; und sein Sohn1121 Jojachin3078 ward König4427 an seiner Statt.

7 Und der König4428 in Ägypten4714 zog nicht3254 mehr aus3318 seinem Lande; denn der König4428 zu Babel894 hatte3947 ihm genommen alles, was des Königs4428 in Ägypten4714 war, vom Bach5158 Ägyptens4714 an bis an das776 Wasser5104 Phrath.

8 Achtzehn6240 Jahre8141 alt1121 war Jojachin3078, da er König4427 ward4427, und regierete drei7969 Monden2320 zu Jerusalem3389. Seine Mutter517 hieß8034 Nehustha, eine Tochter1323 Elnathans494 von Jerusalem3389.

9 Und tat, das dem7451 HErrn3068 übel gefiel5869, wie sein Vater1 getan6213 hatte6213.

10 Zu der Zeit6256 zogen herauf5927 die Knechte5650 Nebukadnezars5019, des Königs4428 zu Babel894, gen Jerusalem3389 und kamen935 an die Stadt5892 mit Bollwerk4692.

11 Und da Nebukadnezar5019 zur Stadt5892 kam935 und seine Knechte5650, belagerte er4428 sie6696.

12 Aber Jojachin3078, der König4428 Judas, ging heraus zum Könige von3318 Babel894 mit seiner Mutter517, mit seinen Knechten5650, mit seinen Obersten8269 und Kämmerern5631; und der König von Babel894 nahm3947 ihn auf im achten8083 Jahr8141 seines Königreichs.

13 Und nahm von3318 dannen heraus alle Schätze214 im Hause1004 des HErrn3068 und im Hause1004 des Königs4428 und zerschlug7112 alle güldenen Gefäße3627, die Salomo8010, der König4428 Israels3478, gemacht hatte6213 im Tempel1964 des HErrn3068 wie denn der HErr3068 geredet hatte1696;

14 und2428 führete weg1540 das ganze Jerusalem3389, alle Obersten8269, alle Gewaltigen1368, zehntausend6235 Gefangene und alle Zimmerleute2796 und alle Schmiede4525; und ließ nichts übrig7604, denn2108 gering Volk5971 des Landes776.

15 Und führete weg1540 Jojachin3078 gen Babel894, die Mutter517 des Königs4428, die Weiber802 des Königs4428 und seine Kämmerer5631; dazu die Mächtigen352 im Lande776 führete er3212 auch gefangen1473 von Jerusalem3389 gen Babel894,

16 und2428 was der besten Leute582 waren1473, siebentausend, und7651 die Zimmerleute2796 und6213 Schmiede4525, tausend505, alle starken Kriegsmänner1368; und der König4428 von Babel894 brachte935 sie505 gen Babel894.

17 Und der König4428 von Babel894 machte4427 Mathanja, seinen Vetter1730, zum Könige an seiner Statt und wandelte5437 seinen Namen8034 Zidekia.

18 Einundzwanzig6242 Jahre8141 alt1121 war Zidekia, da er König4427 ward4427, und regierete elf Jahre8141 zu Jerusalem3389. Seine Mutter517 hieß8034 Hamital, eine259 Tochter1323 Jeremias von Libna3841.

19 Und er tat, das dem7451 HErrn3068 übel gefiel5869, wie Jojakim3079 getan6213 hatte6213.

20 Denn es geschah also mit Jerusalem3389 und Juda3063 aus dem Zorn des HErrn3068, bis daß er7993 sie von6440 seinem Angesicht639 würfe. Und Zidekia ward abtrünnig4775 vom Könige4428 zu Babel894.

Chapter 24

1 IN his days Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came up against Jerusalem, and Jehoiakim became his servant three years; then he turned and rebelled against him.

2 And the LORD stirred up against him bands of the Chaldeans and bands of Edomites and bands of Moabites and bands of the children of Ammon, and sent them against Judah to destroy it, according to the word of the LORD which he spoke by his servants the prophets from the mouth of the LORD.

3 And there came a fierce wrath against Judah, to remove them out of his sight on account of the sins of Manasseh and all that he had done,

4 And also for the innocent blood that he had shed; for he filled Jerusalem with innocent blood, which the LORD would not pardon.

5 Now the rest of the acts of Jehoiakim and all that he did, behold, they are written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Judah.

6 So Jehoiakim slept with his fathers; and Jehoiachin his son reigned in his stead.

7 And the king of Egypt did not again come out of his land; for the king of Babylon had taken all that had belonged to the king of Egypt, from the river of Egypt to the river Euphrates.

8 Jehoiachin was eighteen years old when he began to reign, and he reigned three months in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Nehushta, the daughter of Eliathan of Jerusalem.

9 And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, according to all that his father had done.

10 At that time Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came up against Jerusalem and the city was besieged.

11 And Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came against the city, and his servants were besieging it.

12 And Jehoiachin the king of Judah went out to the king of Babylon, he and his mother and his servants and his princes and his eunuchs; and the king of Babylon took him with him in the eighth year of his reign.

13 And he carried out from there all the treasures of the house of the LORD and the treasures of the king's house, and he cut in pieces all the vessels of gold which Solomon king of Israel had made for the temple of the LORD, as the LORD had said.

14 And he carried away all Jerusalem and all the princes and all the mighty men of valour, even ten thousand captives, and all the guardsmen and all the guard; and he left none except the poorest people of the land.

15 And he carried away Jehoiachin to Babylon and the king's mother and the king's wives and his eunuchs and the princes of the land he carried into captivity from Jerusalem to Babylon.

16 And all the men of might, even seven thousand, and guardsmen and the guard of a thousand and all the men who were trained for war, even them the king of Babylon brought captive to Babylon.

17 Then the king of Babylon made Mattaniah the king's uncle king in his stead and changed his name to Zedekiah.

18 Zedekiah was twenty-one years old when he began to reign and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Hamutal, the daughter of Jeremiah of Libnah.

19 And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, according to all that Jehoiakim had done.

20 So the anger of the LORD was against Judah and against Jerusalem, until he cast them out from his presence, and Zedekiah rebelled against the king of Babylon.
